View Full Version : OZVR4 Member cards

I think having a member card is a pretty cool idea. It will help identify members if we can secure companies to offer discounts to members.
I hope I havent stepped on any toes but I have contacted a company via email to get a quote on said cards. The ones i thought would be the best are the keyring cards (same as ya get from blockbuster and stuff). If anyone else is interested in this let me know. Also if I need any permission to reproduce the logo could any mods pm me in regards to this.
Cheers,
Jason

Nice idea, but not really what we are trying to achieve. This is supposed to be a community, not a club.
I'll let Van decide on this one.
If they're not individualised, I'd be okay with it. Just a little OZVR4 keyring is fine, I like that idea. I'd been hoping for some metal ones, cut/molded to the shape of our logo, but frankly I'm pretty easy. I do like the little plastic video card style ones; less weight!
This is what I've got in mind if we go with the plastic ones.

They look sweet. If the majority is happy with that design I will submit these pics for a quote on Monday.

It would be nice if someone had a GPO box, then we could add the address on these meaning if anyone lost their keys and some one found em, they could throw em in a post box and they would find their way home!
Yeah. On the other hand, hopefully a discerning finder of a set of keys with a web address on them would go to that web address and notify the community of the find, haha.

Sounds great and looks cool...I'll have one
Possibly a good Idea to ask if you can get them coated also.
Many companies that use this sort of card find the print comes off after a while, after continuous beatings from your keys.....
Resin dipped perhaps ???
Just a thought...

I second Craig's concern / sugesstion - I destroy pretty much every keyring I've put with my keys, and I usually only have three or four keys... Either get metal or something extremely hard wearing.

what we used to use in Cyber was cast metal keyrings. Each keyring had a member number. After all, who doesn't use a keyring?

can you get a keyring that has a bottle opener on it too? just a small compact one would be good.

I haven't heard back from the company I emailed
So I will get onto the one we use for our Sinergy key rings, they are pretty cheap, good quality and metal. I dont know if they do a bottle opener but will enquire tomorrow if I get the chance

Dude a lighter or any flat metal key will do (use the metal butt end, not the toothed stem). As I'd never get any use out of a bottle opener I'd vote against that one (sorry Simon!)

Yeah, the guy that does our pricing wasn't in today but the other dude reckons they can make 'em up no probs. I will call again tomorrow and get a price and time frame.
Prolly won't be bottle openers though, everyone has agreed on the design so I think thats the way we will go, but a few weren't happy with the bottle opener idea.

Seeing as Jason is no longer on here, someone else needs to step to organise these.

Why is Jason no longer on here? He had a two-day ban for inappropriate behaviour, but he hasn't been banned permanently Bob.

^ Jason made a post stating that he would't be returning on a regular basis, I think that's what Dion is referring to.
