yep, he's tried the intro section. i believe he's tried every section and it just wont let him post a post, let alone a thread.

I think Snickells has it set up so that you must create a thread in the intro section first but if he can't even do that then it must be borked - get him to PM Snickells, he should be able to sort it out.
cheers

it has been set up this way due to spam bots,
atm first the account has to be activated by a mod, atm only snickells can do this,
and then there first post must be in the intro section,

Yes all of this is true and its all written in the intro email any new user is sent after registering.
Unfortunately though, I just cant seem to use my amazing jedi mind powers to make people follow simply written guides.

For some reason the intro emails get swallowed by some email accounts... even with spam filters turned off, mine occasionally has this trouble with forum registration in general.

Just looked in the admin control panel and he is a registered user, not a user waiting for confirmation or anything.
I don't know why he can't post...maybe he could give you his log in details and you can test on your pc?

Maybe he's a massive noob?
I think a mod needs to make his first post for him.
Something along the lines of "I'm a massive noob and can't work my computeee"
