Ah thats awesome news for me really. Went to Meek yesterday to get AYC bled and work out why my car smelt like petrol and was loosing major mileage per tank. Turned out i have a damaged petrol tank. This will give me enough time to repair the issue before the track day.

Yeah, this is good for me as well.
I'll have my new coil packs in by then and hopefully no more misfiring :)

Can't wait to see the Pic's of 6 VR4's arriving at terminal velocity at the end of the straight jockeying for position through the kink and into corner 2.

2x HD Video camera's (one fixed at end of straight and one panning/fixed to car)
3x Digital SLR's

should cover it......:D:D:D

And boys, pack your raincoats, long range weather for 2 June, 3 to 12degrees, 18k ne winds, 60% chance of Showers.

Ahh crapsickles. I have an exam in wollongong at 9:30am. So I will be there late.

Well I'm sure I can rip throug hthe exam in 30mins... then the 154k's I have to drive can't take more than 1 hour at 6000rpm in 5th.

Doubt I'll make it before 12 :/ Appharently this might mean the morning trackers are done so there will be less peeps though. Yay.

Ok guys, I have just spoken with Robyn (Track Administrator) @ Wakefield, it is definitely a speed off the Street day next tuesday 2/6/09, she said she has had no enquiries from other clubs re next tuesday, so it will be just those that turn up out of the blue on the day that we'll be competing with for track time http://www.mitsubishiclubaustralia.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.mitsubishiclubaustralia.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif http://www.mitsubishiclubaustralia.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I think I should be able to make it as well, do we have to book, or just turn up on the day?

Kitty's VR4

Yea Richard, just cruise down with the guys.

Wakefield know we're coming, so no need to book personally

Great to meet a long time lurker :D:D:D

Do you need a CAMS licence to do this?

Nope, just license and rego for your car.

No Dawso,

Just a current State/Territory Motor Vehicle Licence, Wakefield Park then issue their own Licence (Valid for 12 months) and charge $50.00 for it.

So the next time you go to Wakefield you show your Wakefield Licence and off you go

They didn't check rego papers or even scrutineer our cars last time.

Also check first post, I'll apdate weather there, Its going to be Raining by the looks of it. So at this point bring wet weather clothing......

I'm thinking of doing a big pot of Soup and rolls for everyone, to defrost them during the day

Yeah they run under their public liability then...... The drifters here do the same thing. None of them join the local club because they don't need club affiliation to drift.

That means that we have a lack of numbers, lack of money and lack of motivation for people to do anything as everyone else gets to enjoy all their hard work!

Clearly Wakefield gets enough bookings to be able to sufficiently hold its head up running with people under public liability. I envy them lol

Its a very popular events venue, everyday there is car trailer after car trailer going thru town heading out to Wakefield, plus alot of race teams do testing here.

Any of the Sydney people meeting up on the way like at the mobile down the freeway south of Sydney. And what time would we meet up?

Also what tyre presures is everyone going to be running as I know it was an issuse last time.

So how many people from MCS are going? I hope no one is put off by a bit of rain

Aza will be there early so he can swap his exhuast before he goes on the track.

If anyone wants to meet at Mobil at Pheasants Nest which is on the HWY at about 7.15am stick around for 10 mins or so then keep heading down.

A question for those with autos. How will you drive your car? will you engine brake using the tiptronic or drive in D or something else?

Kitty's VR4

Manual Tiptronic David, I found best last time.

It was a blast.

Cheers for the pads paul. I only replaced the really low one I had as I have A1RM's on the way, but they got me through the day fine.

There where only me ET and Kitty's LEgnum out there and my mates GTi and Aza's FTO.

Thats it. We had the whole track to ourselves. Awesome.

There where plenty of pics and video. Can't wait to see them either.

I'm shagged!

Big thanks to ET for picking up the pads for me and to Nudge for cooking us that awesome soup.

The Kat / Nudge trackday is a sure fire winner lads. I wouldn't miss the next one.

Times?!

It took me all day to work out how the gps laptimer in my iphone worked but I didn't get around to using it. So I musn't have figured it out.

Anyhow I was lapping pretty similar to ET and I kept up with Az in his FTO for a couple of laps and he was pretty fast. I think ET's mate timed him.

Someone will put something in here with some substance eventually i'm sure.

Hi all
I was thinking that I should drop in and say Hi to you all as we have been working together for alot of events between clubs.
As most of you know I look after the NSW area of the MCA and also the FTO club its a big job but when we all chip in between clubs like we all have we get some great events going.

Take today the numbers dropped off alittle due to sertan events out of anyones hands but still turned out a great day and lots of fun had by all.
I also send out a big thanks to Kitty for all her help and to every one that came and made it a great day.
Thumbs up to you all

Another great day on the track once angin thanks Kat and Nudge!

I got a 1:15.4 and a top speed of 170km/h.

Just a reminder for anyone else going to another one start the setion with a full tank of fuel as I was having fueling issues on the tight corners with 1/2 a tank and less.
