With 8 days left of April, we're speeding towards our end-of-the-month deadline to find and move to a new host. Half of the hard work has been done (finding the new host) and we're preparing to start the installation of our new forum software, the migration of our database and the installation of some new features. This mammoth task is being undertaken by our crack team of web geeks, SORRY!, web gurus: cittris (http://ozvr4.com/forums/member.php?do=getinfo&u=12) (Tristian) and rh1n0 (http://ozvr4.com/forums/member.php?do=getinfo&u=2405) (Ryan) so please make sure you all say thanks, as they're donating their time and skills for free.
So with all this work going on, I'm sure you can all imagine, we're going to have some down time. And some up time, and then probably some more down time. We will TRY to have some sort of notice up in place of the forum, but if not and the sites nowhere to be seen, don't freak out. It's all part of the process. The only other thing to take note of is the fact that with the database being moved, I'd like everyone to hold off any really important or detailed or big posts/threads, as there will be a small lag between the final backup and the actual move of the site.
Best expectations are that this will only take a week, but reality dictates that we should expect that it will take longer, based on previous experiences.
Questions or queries? Fire away!

Don't forget to check us out on the Refugees thread over @ ClubVR4 (http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=40470).
If not, announcements may be made over the OZVR4 facebook page as well.
Cheers!

The way members of this forum offer there expertise without looking for any financial gain demonstrates once more why OZVR4.com is the best forum of it's type on the web. Everyone involved deserves a big pat on the back and a even bigger thank you.

Only hours in and they've already show more competence in their ability to deal with customers than jumba did in the months we were with them. Amazing.

Glad to know that the site has a new home. I'll be donating as soon as I have a job!
Thanks to the web guys, seriously, I personally appreciate your effort as without it this wonderful resource would be that much more behind the eight ball.
Can I suggest that if there is going to be extended downtime, that a brief email letting people know what's going on, is sent out. I've read the regular "if they don't know they're not active enough to matter", but it would likely be appreciated by those who are not currently active for whatever reason and won't take much time or effort to compile (copy & paste the OP)

Hey just a thought, have the old "how to" guides that got deleted been restored? If they haven't maybe you can add them while your shifting host's. Just a thought I don't know how hard that will be.
Thanks again guys for your hard work and donating your spare time, the people on this forum are by far much better and nicer than other forums Ive been on, which are full of people that just want to shoot other people down or the keyboard warriors.
Again thanks.
