1 AYC Bar
I'm starting this thread to gather some info on how to properly disable the AYC.
I had to disable the AYC due to an issue I was having.
I found three points that could possibly do it
1) 10A fuse in the cabin
Result: AYC bars on dash stopped lighting up, no error light
2) 60A fuse in the engine bay
Result: AYC bars still lit up as per normal self test however after a short period of driving the error light came on as per the original issue
3) AYC relay beside the battery
Result: AYC bars lit up as per normal self test, however ayc light came on instantly
So what I'd like to know is a) which method is the best way to completely disable the system and b) what does disabling each point above do?
My guess is
1) disables the AYC ecu
2) disables the AYC pump
3) disconnects the various sensors from the ECU
cheers
