I was still getting shift points right. And they were sympathetic to the wining gearbox.

I'd guess 10% less power or of a perfect auto than a manual. But the auto slips so you're in the power band more. Once you really get going you see trotty is starting to pull

I would have been shifting more in the power band though. I shifted no higher than 6300rpm and stayed In the torque/power sweet spot. I could have even dropped that back to 6k and maybe have gone quicker. Autos shift at 7k don't they?

Autos shift whenever I tell them to... That's what the paddles are for.

fto 13.1 at 110mph off the line just spinning need better tyres. see how it goes soon with my new wavetrac lsd and taller gear ratios might get her of the line better and less gear changes. I will be going for 10secs when all finished this is what im aiming for.

Thread revival.
First time running the 1/8 mile in a gen 8 galant vr4 auto. Run was done in full auto mode.
Fully stock except for FMIC and ayc does not work. I ran a 9.8.
Is this an expected result or kinda slow?

I’m glad I wasn’t the most recent thread revival.
I think I now hold the VR4 1/4 mile record. 11.6 with more in it if I drop the tyre pressures

11.7 secs on the 1/4. Stock head and block and single turbo, with heels off wheel spin and no track prep.

Went to the track tonight, managed a new PB of 12.7, previous was 12.8... Was hoping for better but the car ran really well and launched nicely.
High flow turbos, auto gearbox and e85.
Gained about 5mph on my previous runs with about same 60ft.

What are you using for engine management, how much boost, what do you launch at and how much power to the wheels?

Stock ecu. High flow turbos. Flex tune on E85, auto, 220kW atw. About 18psi

Launching at about 3500rpm/8psi.
This is the boost gauge in BAR at the bottom right of the video to give you an idea of boost
