Hey all,

For those of you with driver displays/racepak style clusters, did you mount it in front of your stocko cluster, or somewhere else?

I'd ideally want to not have the display permanently there when driving on the road and only put it in when out on track, etc.

Anyone got any creative solutions or should I suck it up and just mount it infront of the stock cluster?

Anyone got photos of their installs?

Thanks,
Bill

With the level of customisation on the likes of the new colour screen dashes most people opt to completely replace the OEM cluster as you can do indicators/fuel level and all that

I know powertune digital you have free reign on designing your own display so could even do AYC if you had the know how. Which il sure would be a walk in the park for you Bill

I know Jason @J_banger has an IC7. Not sure how hes got it mounted but it would be easy enough to 3d scan a factory cluster facia and have someone with a resin printer with texturing software print something that looks extremely similar to a factory injection moulded part

I have a spare cluster surround so could work something out and fit something in place of stocko cluster.

At this stage, I was only interested in the stuff the ecu is logging

Thinking rpm, speed, eth content, coolant temp, MAP, fuel pressure (diff and absolute), oil temp, oil pressure.

But your right, could just replace the cluster entirely and incorporate fuel level and odometer too.

Might take the cluster out and suss fitment/ideas out.

Depends if your stock ecu or aftermarket as alot of those dashes are can based communication

I just hacked up the back of an OEM cluster and mounted black plexiglass to the front face, then screwed the IC7 to that, works well and still uses the factory screw holes to mount to the dash :)

Nice, ill go back to the drawing board and consider just replacing the cluster.

Im using stock ecu but have the ability to communicate with canbus, hence asking about the displays.
