Any one know what this sound is?

Good Day fellas.

I have had this 97’ VR4 for almost a month now and I have noticed this sound not exactly quite sure what it is. Hoping someone might know.
When I press the clutch down or it’s in gear the sound goes away

Naw it’s not, that seems to be the loudest point.

I do have a haul of upcoming maintenance soon timing belt water pump , new coils and harness etc. so I’m hope that will correct what ever that is. But everything seems to drive fine

Any change when turning the wheel (power steering) or engaging the AC compressor?

Start with taking accessory belts off. Car will run for a bit without the alternator.

I would do this and pull a timing cover to see how the timing belt is running/how old it is.
