Ok update, changed hose so all same diameter heat shrunk ziptied n hose clamped everything so there are no leaks. Still no reading on my boost gauge, decided to read the instructions and turns out i need a pressure nipple (sounds sexy) apparently this was a complete kit however the pressure nipple was not included. Is this my problem? most instructions i have found on the net neglect to even mention a pressure nipple.

Does anyone know if I can get a hold of the clips that hold in the sideskirts off Mitsubishi Aus? I have no idea of the part number but one of my back clips is broken so I'll have to get a hold of a new one. If anyone has got some and has spares i'd love to take one off your hands. :p

Jono, for ALL parts you're best off downloading a copy of ASA so you can find part numbers for whatever you want on a whim. Then contact either your local mitsubishi parts distributor or your Japanese importer of choice.

Do you guys think asa can have 2 seperate countries parts. I got the US one and am trying to find the part number for the 16g that was on the evo 3

Unsure how that would work John - Mitsubishi Australia don't even use CAPS/ASA, they have something completely different thus I don't think there's any way you could get ASA to interface with an Australian database. No idea how the US works though.

(edit) x1 question....

(edit - no longer needed) 1) For twin turbo setup, is twin solenoid or single better? as I'm considering a new boost controller.. and want to know if worth paying the extra for the spec R over the spec S.
e.g. Fuzzy logic controller...

Found my answer here : http://www.blitzperformancesales.com/techsupport/pdf/dualsbc_specs-r.pdf (spec S is NOT reccomended for high boost or twin turbo applications)

----- SEE BELOW FOR QUESTION PLEASE ------

1) which company do most people use without issues? RHDJAPAN or NENGUN performance ?? Keeping in mind i'm in AUS. shipping times etc? Nengun states 3-5 days to AUS.... RHDJAPAN has no time expectation.

Thanks guys... need answers asap!!

Spec S will be fine for our cars.

I have used RHDJapan before and was very pleased with their service.

I really don't get the difference between the spec R and S except the dual and single solenoid then? Dual is "better control" but what does that really mean; does the dual or single work better in a twin setup? These are all questions no one really asks/answers even with google searches for hours trawling over forums.

I'm looking at nearly 90 dollars difference between R and S... I don't want to be a tight ass and regret it... like I did when buying the greddy over this unit initally. But I don't want to buy the biggest unit if the smaller will provide the same results... If you get me?

There is heaps of people saying fuzzy logic will not work with twin turbo or sequential setups... can anyone confirm this?

Thanks for the experience info mate! appreciated

Spec S is Single solenoid, Spec R is Dual. With Spec R both of the turbos wastegates have a solenoid instead of sharing. It is supposed to offer better control against spiking but i don't think it would make too much difference. Most people on here would be running single solenoid setups.

There are also other ways SOME dual solenoid units can be used.
They can be setup in series so both solenoids can regulate the boost instead of 1 doing all the work.
Some can be setup to run different boost levels (handy for sequential setups)

Both actuators meet up via a T piece for single solenoids ot you can bypass it for use with the two.

I think Gizzmo use fuzzy logic? Absence uses one in his Legnum.

It is completely irrelevant about our twins as they run at the same time, off the same amount of cylinders.

For a subaru lagacy with the silly sequential twin setup it may cause problems.

To all intents and purposes when it comes to shopping for boost controllers we have a single turbo :)

bit of a noob question... looking at a picture of the Blitz ID SBC-R; you mention each wastegate has a solenoid; but they are still using x1 tapped vaccum line?

(take note of solenoid unit's "in and out" ports)
